BOB, what I have learned is that the Christians and the Jews are 2 halves of the same body who worship the same God. The plan was that they were to be blinded and until the second coming they will be. (Rom. 11) However, they are still God's chosen people and their Messiah will come. The second coming..... But don't forget the early church was 100% Jewish! 1/3 of Jerusalem accepted Jesus (Yesuha) as the Messiah. The rest didn't because Jesus claimed to be God...divine...The leaders considered that to be blasphemy! But don't forget, both testaments said they would be blinded and "stumble"over him .(Romans 11:9-10 and Ps. 69:21-23; Is. 8:14) The purpose is in Romans 11:11 and 25-27--for us! So that Gentiles could come in through adoption to join Israel by "rebirth"--choice. LL
