Humbly report, Charles, for the E*Trade terminal access you simply need any kind of CompuServe account. The basic cheapest will do. However, the terminal access is sort of like being in DOS land. You know, prompt, submit number XXX which means bla bla, hit return - terminal access. Like an airline clerk.

Pain the the butt at first, but once you know the numbers, snap snap. I have a print-out of the code numbers with years worth of coffee stains on them. And rum.
