Traders to a large extent are made and not born. Trouble is that most cannot afford the losses one must take to get to a proficient level. Those that have enough money to sustain them thru the training period [which can take years] have to then deal with the psychology resulting from losses in their formative period. I like the book, "Market Wizards" by Schwager. Harper Business. 1993. It contains detailed interviews with top traders who discuss their methods. The over-riding message in successful trading seems to be doing it without emotion and with rigid attention to risk control. Dart
