Where does AMD go from here ?
Last week's selling frenzy was due to not meeting earnings expectations , that news is behind us .
There were 4 announcements that were completely ignored by investors.
5.5 M k6-2 , sampling K7 , K6-2 mobile released with Toshiba as first customer , K6-3 being released in Feb in volume .
January is always a good time to buy even when AMD is not heading for a good year and when the SOX index is going negative .
This year should be AMD's best ever and the SOX index is already at a new high and appears to be heading higher due to Y2K problem .
The volume on AMD is already at approx 60M shares in the first 2 weeks , this indicates more buying interest than any previous year and follows 2 months of 80M share volume . This is no doubt due in part to BW pick for '99 but also because of the high visibility of AMD products around the world .
Conclusion ?
It should be obvious .
Brian
