This response appears to be in contrast to the positive tone a friend of mine got while she contaced ADI's PR in late December. Below is the response. Also, the rumour that OEM in Japan do have sample chips came to me from a close acquaintance of J. Monroe. It appears that somebody is not being very honest. Is it possible that Cadence or IBM cannot provide them with a mere $40k to purchase the equipement. Is it possible that our friend Hunter is again trying to bring down the stock? Sheryl's Response: Thank you; a very happy and prosperous new year to you, also. ADI is not aware of any one reason, nor has the Company made any news release that would have prompted a rise in stock trading price. As you are aware, many factors go into the make up of the stock trading price; I'm sure considerations include anticipation of functional verification test outcome, though.
