Has anyone bought a CD from the CCI web site recently? My son was visiting this weekend. We logged on to the web site and I told him to pick a couple of CD's. Well, we listened to a few music clips which worked pretty well. At least for the ones where you could get the clips. Then he decided to order a couple of 311 CD's. After I submitted the order, I got some message which indicated to me that the order had not been taken. Sorry, I didn't write down the message and can't remember exactly what it said.
So, I decided to call 1-800-951-1111. I got a message that I had reached Compact Connection and then the phone rang and rang and rang and nobody ever answered. I didn't get a "Please hold on" message or anything. After waiting for many rings, I decided to hang up and call back later. This was at about 10.30 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday. They are supposed to be manned 24 X 7, aren't they? Maybe, I was just too impatient.
Anyway, I called back on Sunday morning and reached someone called Otis. He was very pleasant and helpful and told me that in fact my order had gone through, but for some reason I was being charged $8 for shipping two CD's. I told him that I thought it was supposed to be $3, so he told me he would tell customer service and they would contact me. I also e-mailed them. I'll let you know what happens.
BTW, I was order # 2053. Does anyone have a recent order #?
