Well, Pat, Heineman was unnecessarily unpleasant, and he was in charge of marketing. I think that the LinnSoft prices are high, since they are only a front end, and you still have to pay the data provider. But they are the only game in town (so far) that does it at all for the Mac, so we're stuck, aren't we? I was trying to help the guy out, I published software myself, so I do know a little about it, and I was amazed at the rude response. But I figure if Linn put that fellow in charge of marketing that nothing I tell him will matter. He knows the guy is unpleasant to customers!
I think these are actually PC people, not Mac people. Even the error messages you get are PC messages, like "fatal error." The Mac never gives a message like that. So I expect both the software packages I'll be testing are very poor ports from the PC and that the personnel is, as well. LOL!
Most of PC support is arrogant and rude, right? heh
