Hi Jay,

"Bob, you seem to know a little about Zips and Macs." Jay, the operative word here is "little":) First of all, I am a unabashed fan of the Mac OS. Secondly, like most people, I have little experience with interoperability between system platforms. However, I think I can help you out.

Under system 7.5 Dos to Mac conversion is handled by two control panels.

1. Macintosh Easy Open
2. PC Echange

According to Macintosh Guide (a system 7.5 utility), with these control panels you will be able to:

-Open a DOS file
-Create a file in DOS format
-Set up your Mac to use DOS files
-Use a DOS disk
-Prepare a disk in DOS format

I believe these Control Panels will function also under system 7.1, but I am not sure.

I hope this is of some help!
