Mr. Clean, (you write Brazil with an S (Brasil) you are Brazilian aren't you? Do you know Mr. Bahiana former Siemens do Brasil officer? He used to lobby for QCOM down there. Back to what interests us: What did Telefonica do as soon as it took over Telesp? I answer: It bought Pair Gain Systems and Diax Access300 from Ericsson. You know why WLL suffered in Asia? It has nothing to do with technology. The soil bearing capacity is 0.5 KG per square inch. Which means to construct the mast to put the antennas and the RBS for DECT, you would need a huge foundation. Not economic to do WLL. Also note that the tree-coverage is about 20m high down in the tropics. Not good to an air interface above 900 MHz. Please, keep im mind that you have to implement these technologies out there. It is not a controlled lab environment, it is real life.
