Most people aren't familiar with hemophilia and the ravages that it brings on the body. Sadly, this has been a disease that has wrecked havoc with my family. Forget that it is a disease of the royalty....Russian czars. It claimed the life of my grandfather and three of my first cousins. My cousins all within the last 15 years. One cousin had just finished medical school and even with his knowledge, it couldn't prevent his untimely death because of a boating accident and the subsequent trauma to his body. Fortunely, because of its transmission mode, it has finally run it course in my family. No females to transmit the disease.
