You apparently only responded to the word "Myth" in the headline, and didn't read the entire article. After all, what good is transmission and distribution, if there are problems with generation? (Thanks for the link BTW.)

Here's what Dick Mills says in the last several paragraphs:

Scenario: Y2K caused generation or load trips
Effect: Regional
Probability: Assume certain

He goes on ...

"Anyhow, what I suspect is happening is the following. Some industry and government leaders want to reassure everyone that there is nothing to worry about regarding electricity in 2000 ... The spin is that whatever power outages might occur due to Y2K will be localized. In my book, that's as unethical as things get."

P.S. Since you apparently respect Dick Mills, maybe now you'll agree that there IS a problem, and "doomsayers" are not making this up. Or now, would you also classify Dick Mills as a "doomsayer"?
