BEIJING, January 18, AsiaPort -- According to the survey conducted by Beijing Commercial Information Consulting Center, the sales of DVD have been increasing since last October. It is believed that DVD market will see a good prospect in China.

Experts believe that the market demands for DVD surpasses those of VCD and video recorder.

It is estimated that the sales of DVD will reach 3 million to 3.5 million in 2000. And the amount is expected to reach 8 million in 2001. It is expected that the price of DVD will drop to 2,000 RMB yuan which is suitable to most consumers.
