Michelle,

Buy and hold strategies have another advantage, swings are of no concern. I do not believe in the long-term prospects of AMZN or YHOO, but if I did I would buy LEAPS 2.5 years out and then concentrate on other important issues in life. In fact, I plan on doing the same with AOL once the 02 LEAPS come out in mid-year.

IMO, your investment guy is protecting himself and not your financial interest.
