Some stray thoughts...... Why couldn't that last pass of the last play of the last quarter of the last half of the last game that Elway will ever play at Mile High (probably) have been a touchdown? It was soooooo close! Does this mean he has to come back for another season since it missed? Just heard that Kubiak turned down the head coaching job at CU as it's known here or University of Colorado to everyone else. Turned em down flat. Guess he knows a good thing when he's got it. Tuning up the old resume with a couple Super Bowl rings going into the NFL head master's circle? That first half yesterday was the BIG SCARE! Or the big bore, depending on your point of view. The punters sure got a workout. That was about the worst half of football I've seen in a long time, barring Vinny's hot hand in the beginning. I can tell you though that the wind was a lot stronger in reality than it looked on TV. It was incredible by my house. Almost sounded like a freight train going by all the time. Atlanta is deceptively good. Didn't think they stood a chance against Vikings. Many times this season they have snuck up from out of nowhere, and then...they just find a way to win! Broncos have GOT to play better than the first half Sunday if they want a repeat. I don't believe Falcons will give them the luxury of only playing a half a game in the Super Bowl like they did against the Jets. I don't think Shanahan will let that happen.
