PE is misleading in these cases. There was a large drop of orders
for these companies due to drop off in spending by cable companies.
If the sales materialize as indicated in this week's Barron's
(which recommended both SFA and GIC as 50-100% gainers), then
the PE's will shrink. GIC and SFA are the main players in the
cable modem business. GIC is also in Sunday's New York Times
feature.
