Judy-
My original position in BGEN was for an investment position in my wife's IRA, but she got tired of it (got altitude sickness is more like it, since we were in at $36) and wanted "faster money". So we sold it, made some quick profits elsewhere, then I moved her back in without "consulting" her. Big mistake to not consult the wife, as all readers can imagine, and we're out again now (into FISV, which just reported some good news). The woman is highly unsophisticated when it comes to investments, but she has made a lot of good calls (calls that turned out good, to be precise) over the years. I think we'd be rich now if I'd paid more heed to her suggestions.

To get to your real point, I would like to own BGEN as a long term investment, but I'm having trouble right now determining what a reasonable value is for the company so I'm standing aside. The P&F looks OK to me but the run has been long. Our biotech holdings right now include ICOS, MLNM (kind of high on a pole right now), and a very small stake in GERN. And we mustn't forget the few employee stock options in PKN.
