Why does the stock trade at such low levels? The prevailing theory on Stockhouse on line and by the Company (and I agree with it) is that the 7 Canadian market makers are playing with the stock and attempt to keep it at a low valuation in order to rack up high commissions. About 82 million shares have traded over the past 12 months; the company estimates that the MM's have made $3.8 million in commissions. It is hoped that the listing on Nasdaq BB which should be approved in the next few (4 to 6?) weeks will contribute to move shares in US hands, thereby diminishing the influence of the Canadian market makers. The Nasdaq BB listing took so long because of the more stringent requirements, and because the party which was handling the filing screwed up.
I admit the past year has been frustrating, but as far as I am concerned I believe (right or wrong) that this is the real thing and I plan to add to my already substantial position if I come into some spare change.
