Hey! Remember last year when we took that test to find out if we were introverts or extroverts, etc? I have a couple of new ones.
CW came to me this morning and said that he had an IQ of 150--better than genius level and higher than 1/2 of 1% of the world
s population.
As a good parent I know not to discourage the fantasies and dreams of my children; I work hard not to bruise their delicate egos, their fragile self-concepts, so after I heehawed for a few seconds, I turned it into a cough and said,"Of course you do. Who told you this?"
"I found an IQ test on line. It had 28 questions and it only takes a few minutes--can you believe it was that accurate?"
Obviously he believes it is. It's there in his face. I said, "Yes, that's truly amazing that they could be so right about you."
"Why don't you take it, Mom?" It's his turn to heehaw. "Maybe you're a genius!" Notice that he doesn't even briefly consider that I could ALSO be part of that hallowed 1/2 of 1%.
"OK-find it for me and get me another cup of coffee." So he does and I take this test which I will give you the URL to in just a second.
They score it IMMEDIATELY.
And damn!!! It IS accurate!!! I mean, this test was right on!
I have an IQ of 149!!! Finally! SOMEONE recognizes my abilities.
And the guy swears it has a +/-5 correlation with more sophisticated, longer tests! So we're both happy, me because finally I'm a genius and CW because not only is he better than a genius, he beat me by one point.
