Re : As I pointed out in my prior update, Irwin & Company [i.e., Qualcomm] seemed to have developed a rather urgent sensitivity to the issue of shareholder value.

Let me be the first to say, I think QCOM will close over $70 tomorrow (first trading day since about a zillion things hit the newswires).

People do go "ga-ga" over this concept of management trying to maximize shareholder value.

Any (previous) vague mumbling about actually doing this (maximizing ...) seems to have come to fruition since the end of last week (which, coincidentally, was when a huge amount of open interest in Qualcomm listed call options all expired worthless).

For whatever reason, there seems to have been a "sea change" (man, what a stupid expression).

Jon.
