May have had something to do with absolutely poopy trading in NDX March futures, but then again, what do I know? Actually I'd have thought that the rather tight spread (at least at one point today) set up a pretty nice buying opportunity, but other factors were evidently in play. The SPXs took off like a rocket late in the session, and you see what the DJIA did....

Just a thought. This is not the Voice of the Futures Expert.
