No, I meant that if Intel really wanted to, they could pour tons of effort into reaching 600 MHz for 0.25 micron. This would have made sense if Intel's 0.18 micron transition is delayed for some reason. OK, maybe it isn't as easy as I originally made it sound, but it sure is possible. But since the 0.18 micron process is just around the next corner, I would guess that it makes much more sense just to wait until then before moving the bar up to 600 MHz.

By the way, do you think that the K7 can actually reach 600 MHz on a 0.25 micron process, or do you think that AMD will just stay with a 500 MHz introduction?
