Steven,
Well professor, I better be more careful if I am going to be graded. <gg> It makes me think a little when this event is predicted by several sources. And 1999 or 2,000. In May 2,000 the planets are going to line up. This is supposed to cause unusual gravitational stresses in the planets and also change the orbits of some of the asteroid belt, pulling asteroids out of their regular orbit into other parts of the solar system including the inner solar system (where we live). The Leonid meteor showers are also coming this year. That is not supposed to bring any mountains with it, but it is supposed to play havoc with our numerous satellites. Maybe even destroying some as a pebble going 45 times the speed of a bullet will finish off any satellite.

So I am just curious how this will all play out. First the Leonid showers, then Y2K, then the planets line up and cause earthquakes, volcanoes, severe weather, and maybe a mountain falling into the sea. I am just waiting to see. We may be living the chinese curse, may you live in interesting times.

Bob
