I was at Superbowl XXX and had terrible seats up in nose bleed territory. While scanning the audience with my binoculars I noticed an older gentleman sitting off the 50-yard line with an empty seat next to him. I walked down to his row and asked if the seat would be filled today. He said the seat was for his wife of fifty years but she had passed away and I could sit there if I wanted. I said thanks and asked if there wasn't someone else that he could have invited. He said he had a brother, two sons, some grand children and several acquaintances that would have liked to but they were all at the funeral.
