Hello, Bonnie. The FDIC, more than a year and a half ago, uncovered evidence of organised criminal elements in-control of certain banks in the U.S. However, since it is beyond their charter to do anything more, the FDIC reported the discovery to the U.S. Congress. Not much further detail, only that Congress refused to act on the evidence.

I thought it odd, when this was first told to me, that the FDIC should be the one uncovering something of this nature. But, on second thought, who better?
