Any deal AAPL makes will drop them to 32, unless they're bought out or merge.
My friends' info isn't what makes me think it's a good idea. It's the fact that AAPL needs to extend their brand and their markets. SGI is still struggling, and represents a good opportunity.
Whatever made SGI a good idea 3 years ago (as somebody else posted) hasn't changed, as far as I'm concerned. SGI's new boxes are killer. If AAPL is a "box company", there's no reason why this is a bad idea.
However, SGI ALSO has a top notch consulting side that would benefit AAPL in many different ways.
AAPL's OS is coming closer and closer to being UNIX-like. SGI tends to run alot of UNIX. Their futures are merging.....
