I can't help but think that McCaw is building a US WCOM - that is focused on businesses - local, long distance, voice, data, internet, wired, wireless - only this one will have a strong wireless & cellular service! Nextlink appears to be one of the better positioned national CLECs. Each day the RBOCs delay intro into their local markets is a day NXLK increases its position as the new national local company. This actually pushes the RBOCs and IXCs a step closer to the purchase of Winstar or Teligent.
