Much of the excitement about TDSC regards their acquistion of Keltool, in that the bulls on the stock think the connection of Keltool with SLA modeling will enable TDSC to enter a whole new area by storm. The niche would be making machine tools that in turn, produce parts. For a manufacturer, tooling is a process that if speeded up, would enable products to reach the market faster. Lockheed is also involved via, I believe a joint venture with a company called Sanders. Their product is said to be the most accurate on the market. Regarding 3-D stock, credibility may be an issue, as the Actua was delivered far later than investors were led to believe. Sure, it's shipping now, but if it weren't the stock would be a raging short.
