PAi, I was alluding on the tendency of many on this forum
(as well as some analysts) to believe that Micron was, is,
and will be the lowest cost manufacturer of any part they choose
to make. None of these people have been able to provide any
basis for this belief but they are steadfast in it.

Being the anointed "low cost producer" is a critical part of
the story leading to MU's stock valuation as it gives hope for
future success no matter how dire the current situation looks.

I am the first to concede that it looks much less dire since
the asian meltdown and infusions of cash from TI and Intel.

I have been reading the exchange between you and eabDad with
great interest and thank you for the information.
