Have you used NT 4.0? It *is* a good quality product. It still is not as stable as UNIX (it crashes on me once a month), but it is a far cry from Windows 3.1 or Win95. Also, Office '97 is much better than their old Office product. Also, Internet Explorer is excellent, at least on par with Netscape Navigator. It seems to me that you and others on this thread may be looking in your rearview mirror, at older products. Besides, whether or not they are the best, they are good enough to win because of their dominance in the market. I, too, have been pissed off by crappy products from them. However, more recently, they have garnered some respect from me, because many of their newer products are actually very good.

Besides, I still don't see how this relates to SUNW. They don't have good products for the desktop. I use them every day, just because I don't have any other choice, and I think that they are pretty bad.
