Randy,

If you take the average P/e for the industry and sector in which Ampex is involved (According to Market guide) and figure it based on the currently listed EPS then you get $9.50 and 13.50 respectively. Average the two and you get $12.85. I guess on top of the you could add the $1.23 of cash/share and round up to a clean $14.00 per share.

I would have to agree with some of the previous posts that I don't really believe that Bransom would let the Company go for that little. I think if he even entertained an offer it have to be more substantial. However, if I was a large cap company looking for a company that could be "the backbone " of my future internet needs and I found Ampex sitting there with it's stock price below or around $1/share, just go and figure how much of the company I could control if I dropped $10mil into it's stock. Of course if that did happen then the SEC filings should show that real soon here. I can't remember if management has the Poison Pill to protect them against a hostile takeover but if they don't I would say that they could be real ripe for the pickings.

Steve
