Just to have the information posted on the thread again... IBM was awarded more patents than any other company again last year, for the sixth year in a row. That is just one not so small thing that makes this company so great. Another is that they are the world's most entrenched company, with the largest entities in the world as long term clients and not without good reasons. IBM is the first one they turn to for things like, e-commerce solutions.
