My view on AOL's next split.
It will happen after NSCP deal is confirmed by the Govt.
Split announcement before that may induce some heart burn in NSCP's technical people. So as a reward they will merge and announce
split (2 for 1) so that NSCP technical talents will be happy and excited not only as being part of a Giant but also
for having obtained a fat pocket in terms of (share) options.
Even with the combined entity it will be around 630+ Million shares
and a split will make it 1.2 - 1.3 B shares. That will also allow
room for one more Split by the beginning of or before 2000.
It will take three more splits (within 3 years) to dethrone MSFT in terms of market cap. But if MSFT splits then the race for the
1st trillion $ company will heat up very fast. This battle will be frought as a NYSE Vs NASDAQ and eventually NYSE will win.
Happy to be long AOL and AOL (via NSCP).
