At a concept level it is my understanding that an extensive audit of s/w assets is carried out when Y2K conversions are conducted by MIFGY.

It is this audit that is then supposed to leverage further work and the establishment (possibly for the first time) of a comphrensive database of code versions etc. (under PVCS).

The longer term plan should evolve from this database and the good relationship that MIFGY have built.
