Healthdyne Information, IBM In Messaging Sys Mktg Pact>HDIE

MARIETTA, Ga. (Dow Jones)--Healthdyne Information Enterprises Inc. (HDIE) signed a contract with International Business Machines Corp. (IBM) to sell IBM's MQSeries middleware network messaging and queueing system with Healthdyne's HIE Message Broker.

Terms weren't available.

In a press release Tuesday, Healthdyne said it plans to sell the HIE Message Broker as IBM's recommended messaging system for the utilities and transportation industries and for government. Healthdyne also said IBM will provide co-marketing funds to promote the HIE Message Broker.

Healthdyne said HIE Message Broker extends the capabilities of MQSeries with services which include publishing, subscription, and content-based routing services, allowing companies to add, replace or extend applications without regard to databases and network infrastructure.

Healthdyne said HIE Message Broker is available in two configurations, Cloverleaf and OM3.

Pricing information wasn't immediately available.

Healthdyne provides information software for health-care delivery networks, integration and clinical workstation tools.
