*AV* Options and CAMP
I had a lot of time to evaluate a great deal of picks brought up on this thread and CAMP was something I wanted to get into based on your information and my information. You didn't force, drag, or get me in. Instead you enlightened me to an opportunity (though risky) worth investigating further. Besides, its only 1000 shares and it did go up today, so you are a hero.
The index options were purchased last week and I know I am ahead. I am mad that the carte blanche given to the broker with my little input, apparently was not followed. I will be out tomorrow anyway and then sort through the data to see what happened. I am sure I can graph the data over the past week and compare with the market prices to see the types of swings that it took. This was an education and nothing more.
Sometimes you stretch the envelope which is what I did. Not that I enjoy losing money but I need to expand beyond my present investment limits. Taking courses amd doing a lot of background research detracts from what I want to do, researching the appropriate semis that are about to take off. Therefore, trial by fire sometimes is necessary.
If you want to talk about pressure and guilt, a very nice pastor on a different thread has taken some of my stock advice (ASYT) and rode it from 17.25 to 26. He has faith it will do better and reach 30. I feel like I am gambling with G-d's money here and if I give the pastor wrong advice, you never know what might happen to me on Judgement Day.
The flip side is that as a man of the cloth, he may be getting a little better insight as to which picks will outperform the others.
Either way, I am dropping a donation off at my local religious institution in celebration of my recent good fortunes in the market and to help others that are less fortunate and who may be in need of help. |
