David,

In reponse to your comments:

>> At least one of the cloners (Umax) has projected an large increase in sales (triple, i think) based on sales in the Far East. These would
not be stolen sales from Apple.<<

Apple is increasingly depending on international market than ever before. Last quarter, 56% of whole sale from foreign countries. Umax
will sale clones to Asia and Eurpoe, which are two major Apple's major
income resources. Currently, strong U.S. dollars vs. Yen and Mark will significantly reduce its profitability - another factor to worry
about.

>>Last quarter PowerBook delays were as a result of parts
unavailability, not poor "manufacturing efficienies<<

It is like Dr. Gil said the situation is "out of his control". The
management team of Apple should have better scope re what will
happy in the future than just blame on outside factors. This matter
has occurred in previous chairman. It seems the problem lingers
around endlessly.

>>On cost cutting, not all changes are told to the public<<
I didn't hear any cost cutting plan so far, did you? Actually, Apple
will start to list out and execute cutting in March. But, why does it
take more than two months to analyze the cost unless Apple executives
have alternative approaches in their mind.

If no plan reveals to the public, who knows what Apple's doing?
This is very abnormal and unfair to the shareholders as a whole.

I know my comment might give Apple certain pressure, but a swift
decision is required sometimes in order to move ahead.
