WFC posts a loss for 4Q -- but due entirely to "merger-related costs" and a $300m loan-loss provision to cover problems in Island Finance, a Puerto Rico subsidiary. (Problems there laid to hurrican damage and company is "confident" the rest of the portfolio is collectible).
