Graphical Editing Environment for Net.Data Developers

B.O.S. Better On-line Solutions (NASDAQ: BOSCF) a leader in Mid-range E-Commerce and connectivity solutions further strengthened its position in the E-Commerce solutions market by announcing MacroEditor for IBM's Net.Data. MacroEditor is available as part of BOS' SiteBoss/400. SiteBoss/400 is a premier website management application that capitalizes on the IBM AS/400's superb database engine, built-in Web server, 64-bit RISC processor and 99.9% uptime. SiteBoss/400 will achieve general availability during Q1/1999.

This latest module in the SiteBoss/400 suite is an editing environment for IBM's Net.Data technology, providing a graphical front end for connecting DB2 (database) information to Web-enabled applications. SiteBoss can function on any platform that supports DB2, however, Israel (Izzy) Gal, BOS CEO, states that "with the new e-Series the AS/400 is fast becoming the platform of choice for E-Commerce applications, SiteBoss/400 complements this platform by providing the industry's first Net.Data editor, for easy integration of AS/400 information into Websites."

"The release of the MacroEditor for Net.Data shows the company's commitment to the marketplace," says Gal. "With our growing distribution and market awareness we plan to introduce a full line of products which will allow our customers to migrate efficiently to web-based business solutions." The production of software solutions such as MacroEditor are only part BOS' increasing penetration of the E-Commerce marketplace. Mr. Gal continued "Another major facet of BOS' strategy is to aggressively pursue acquisition candidates involved in E-Commerce, both systems suppliers as well as companies that currently provide sales and services through their own corporate website."

BOS develops, produces, and markets solutions for IBM midrange-to-PC and LAN connectivity, including e-commerce, Internet/intranet, emulation, network gateways, and GUI. Innovative technologies and rapid growth have positioned BOS as an important player in the IBM midrange connectivity field.
