I've followed NCDI and HDSX for a while now.

Most of the interest here on SI seems to be on NCDI at this time. NCDI seems a little stronger in software area and with IBM deal, but HDSX seems to be doing pretty well moving boxes on its own. Both have moved up lately and seem to be getting ready to run some. Both seem like possible takeover candidates. I couldn't decide between the two, so I bought both. ;)

Although I'm a believer in the NC approach for certain applications, I have some questions re NC stocks when I look at the NetPCs coming real soon from the big boys (Compaq, Dell, etc., etc.) and how this will play out re NCs vs NetPCs. My feeling is that things probably will split along traditional Unix/PC lines. In either case, applications and developer focus soon will drive the market (after the cost savings hype cools off).

This is going to be an interesting marketing battle to watch. I'm sure there will be success stories in both areas. Guess we'll soon see!
