WelcomeTo Search Engine Inc. Teams with Exodus

THE FOLLOWING RELEASE WAS ORIGINALLY TRANSMITTED
ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 15

VANCOUVER, Jan. 15 /CNW-PRN/ - WelcomeTo Search Engine, Inc. (OTCBB:WKWG - news) today announced that it
has teamed with Exodus Communications™(NASDAQ: EXDS - news), a leading provider of Internet systems and network
management solutions for enterprises with mission-critical Internet operations. WelcomeTo Search Engine will locate its servers
at Exodus'™ Internet Data Center (IDC), located in Seattle, Washington, and will utilize Exodus' high-speed, redundant
backbone and network management expertise to deliver its services.

''Working with Exodus gives us the ability to locate our servers in multiple IDCs across the United States. Our market
penetration strategy is aimed at expanding our Search Network on a city by city basis,'' said Brent Forgeron, president of
WelcomeTo Search Engine. ''We believe Exodus' network of IDCs and additional infrastructure makes Exodus better
equipped than traditional ISPs to meet the demand for critical Internet applications like e-commerce. Our relationship with
Exodus enables us to launch our Search Engine anywhere in the United States, allowing us to service our customers, wherever
they may be, quickly and efficiently. Teaming with Exodus is consistent with our growth strategy of creating key strategic
alliances and acquisitions which will position the Company to penetrate the market quickly when we launch our Search Engine in
the first quarter of 1999.''

''We continually anticipate the needs of our customers and team with them to deliver the solutions that best meet their business
objectives,'' said Susan Farber, vice president of marketing and strategy at Exodus. ''Our customers, from Internet-centric
companies like WelcomeTo Search Engine to media and Fortune 500 companies, know that Exodus will deliver the constant,
24X7 connection to the Internet they require, along with value-added services that improve their business.''

WelcomeTo has developed a complete Search Engine solution for businesses and consumers in a point and click,
geographically focused, filtered search environment. The vision of the Company is to build the most advanced Regional Business
Directory Services System on the Web. WelcomeTo will list only business-related Web sites, searchable by specific geographic
regions and business categories. The Search Engine will be launched on a city by city basis beginning in the first quarter of 1999.

When it completes its recently announced intention to acquire Xceedx Technologies Inc., a leading developer of scalable
e-commerce products, WelcomeTo will be able to provide businesses with a complete turnkey solution for selling products and
services on the Internet. The Xceedx line of e-commerce products will allow companies to quickly establish an e-commerce
storefront, while the WelcomeTo Search Engine will provide the means to drive traffic to the these sites.

The e-commerce market is projected to generate $US 425 billion in sales by 2002 and to generate $3.2 trillion in global
transactions in that same year. This explosive growth is driving the e-commerce markets being targeted by WelcomeTo.
Employing an aggressive development strategy, WelcomeTo is well positioned to take advantage of the emerging e-commerce
markets already being targeted by such companies as Excite (NASDAQ: XCIT - news), Yahoo! (NASDAQ: YHOO - news)
and Lycos (NASDAQ: LCOS - news).
