Hi Christine, Tom left last Sunday, I think he said he'd be back by Feb 3rd, given it takes about 22 hours to get over there, if connecting thru HK, he's only had a day or so on the ground and barely able to figure out if its morning or night. Course tomorrow he'll be on the move again, logging another 3 to 6 hours traveling not including traffic jams to his other port of call. Then a day or so later back in the sky for the haul back. Crossing the date line is a mystical event, after about 10 hours of going claustrophobic in the belly of what feels like a giant sardine can, they tell you "oh don't bother about tomorrow, we'll just skip ahead to the next day", or on reverse path, "you are now flying into the past and have crossed into yesterday before you took off...". Its magic. Too bad one couldn't just circle around in the air over the dateline, while playing the market, it might be possible to get back to before the market opens and reverse all the bad trades. |
