If a random survey of specific threads here is any indication, a few folks that TRADE said they we're going to cash (or not buying) today in preparation for Alan's talk tomorrow (and the SOU tonight). However, there were some really good earnings reports after the bell. I think tomorrow morning will be up and fun to watch if Bill even makes mention of using 700 Billion of the 4.4 Trillion excess (over 15 years) to put into the market. But you're right: Late morning to mid-afternoon might be very spongy!! Edit: He talks at 10:00 a.m. ET. Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan will speak to the House Ways and Means Committee about the state of the U.S. economy.
