You might get your wish, just keep watching the impeachment proceedings. However, as to the debt, that's history. I don't know how old you are, but it doesn't matter. Even if you're under 30, you'll Never see that debt pared down. They will keep using some tax surpluses to rebate taxes which in turn, drives the market (which makes TONS of MONEY via cap gains taxes) and give it out to SS, and other gov benefits. The debt growth will slow, and may stop, but it won't be paid down. This should really be OT!!
