Question for anybody on this thread

I placed a board lot of 10 contracts for sale at $6.75 today for options on a Canadian equity. During the day the bid and ask price moved up to bid $6.40 and ask $6.90 my options were not posted for sale and not bought by the dealer. I called Greenline and asked why, I was told that the dealer may have made a mistake by not posting mine up for sale at $6.75 but he was not obligated to buy them. This is contrary to my understanding of the situation, I always thought he must buy mine before he offers at a higher price. If you would be kind enough to give me your comment on this I would appreciate it,I have two opinions one yes one no, looking for a clear answer,Thanks.
