DJ; RE:" Area 51 "

...as I sit here listening to Bubba propose taxing tobacco to pay for teachers, putting education in the tobacco biz; and read over the wires that the humongous Fidelity Magellan Fund liquidated MO - Philip Morris from its top 10 holdings during December (replacing it with AOL, btw) and I, like many others are wondering if I can cut MO out of my core holdings without getting burned in the process (Ow! turkey that sucker, Tommy!) - there is Bubba, da Prez, talking about "well now y'all the govmint's gotta do sumpn 'bout Y2K, y'all".

Well, I don't get it. I mean, el Departmento Uh Justice is, as we yadda yadda yadda on about mean impeachment and peachy keen economy, trying to penalize Microsoft. Break it up. Bad dog, and all that woof-woof. Well, wasn't it Microsoft who created the Y2K bug in the first place? With its 2-byte, 16-bit DOS clock function? Well now what I think is that what da government should do is make Microsoft fix the Y2K bug! That's the penalty/remedy, man!

Thanks, I think I will have another Gin&Tonic.

Yeah, man - make The Bill pay for Y2K out of his billions. We limit The Bill's bank account to two-bytes, and say, "go for it". Now that's justice, if you ask me. Which you didn't, but then, that's AMERICA DOT COM, baby! CLICK ON OK (^_^)

Smoke 'em if you got 'em...

...send a kid to school.
