I just read that Neomagic filed for an IPO on Jan17. The underwriters
are Morgan Stanley, Montgomery Securities and Robertson, Stephens &
Co. I also read that they may face a patent infringement claim by
some "unnamed patentholder". I'm sure it would be discussed in the
prospectus. As for their financials, I saw a filing somewhere on that
and saved it on another system. I'll try to post that. I think they
may have hit $35M or so in 1996 if I remember it right. I also read
that CHIPS was downgraded by H&Q due to "near-term weakness and late
entries in two new technologies. Embedded DRAM may be one of them.

Regards,
Jim
