The last few days i have been thinking that things are going to change and that the shakeout may be coming to an end. Besides the couple of huge trades, the stock hasn't been very active. There have been lots of 10 minute or so time periods without any activity at all. Up until the last couple of days there were trades every single minute or second. The stock was thrashing around continuosly but now seems very calm. The charts have lots of flat spots where no trades are taking place. Before the last couple of days the chart was all spikes with continuous activity. I just look at the trading chart with price and volume and it has changed the last few days. I don't think that there are a lot of people left out there that are willing to sell. It looks like all the day traders have left and the stock is just waiting for something to happen. I am hoping this is the bottom and that it will start to move back up.

Rick and Troy: we will miss you. I am hoping that the price will move back up and that you guys will stay. Even if you sell please stick around and continue to post.

Keith: i didn't take anything badly that you posted.

John, Frank, Peter: you guys are right on

Fiberman: i half jokingly mentioned share buy backs a couple of weeks ago. it wouldn't hurt to let management know that most of us are displeased with the stocks performance. Management's responsibilities include both running the company and looking out for shareholder's best interest. I believe they know our mood. I also think that their posts the last couple of days are the beginning of a bigger effort to get the news out. Management has to be concerned with the stock price, they stand to gain or lose big time depending on how it goes. A large percentage of their pay is tied to stock options. Maybe they will start to kick some ass at the upcoming dog and pony shows. Just wish they were a little more like CRUS and leaked out everything. I would really like to know more about their close relationship with Intel and also what they are going to do with audio, video, etc. I am waiting for announcements from DIMD that S3 is providing them with chips for DVD, audio, and other new products. Unless of course, S3 decides to market these types of products themselves.

S3: Is it your plan to get your name very well known so that you can start direct marketing of audio, DVD, etc. I would guess that you wouldn't be interested in doing that with graphics and take a chance at pissing off all your current customers. But you don't have any DVD or audio customers yet, or do ya? any replies?
