My 16 year-old hasTCBG in her Roth IRA at 1 1/8 ! She had a job at an ice cream shop, and Waterhouse let us establish a custodial Roth for her (they said she was the only client they knew of in our area under age 18 with a Roth).
I'd encourage contributors to this thread to consider TCBG for their kid's educational IRAs as well. Hey, let's put it in us old folks' IRAs too, eh?
