Eureka! I think I have stumbled onto the problem people have been having with SE lately!

Check the properties of the files saved via Jon's "Save Target As.." procedure in the help screen loaded from stockclub. You will probably find a tilda "~" in the DOS file name field. If you can make this go away (see my procedure below) SE will work from your hard disks again.

My procedure: improvements welcome!
1) load Jon's HTML/Javascript from stockclub.com
1a) File ... Save As from browser for SE.HTM
1b) right click on order frame
2) View ... View source (causes NOTEPAD window popup)
3) FILE ... Save As (be careful to save as .HTM not .TXT!)
4) Repeat 1b-3 for SE_HELP.HTM frame
5) launch Super_Express from your hard drive.
6) Tell me where that gosh darn tilda came from. <g>

Seriously, I would appreciate elucidation as to where the ~ came from and how to get rid of it via more of a rename-type operation.

Enjoy,

Paul
