Well, I have thought about it and researched it a bit...

My guess is that CPQ will buy MSPG. Compaq is interested in
buying a media company or a service provider. MSPG's recent purchase of Netcom customer base of over 400,000 individual Internet access accounts brings their total of dial-up subscribers over the one million mark. MindSpring offers local Internet service throughout the U.S. The combination of MSPG, Alta Vista (from the DEC acquisition) and Shopping.com (CPQ's most recent buy) would make a complete Internet package for CPQ. MSPG's Market cap of about $2.8 bln also makes company affordable.

That means MSPG stock could go up another 40 - 50%, and makes the $100 CPQ price someone posted earlier quite logical. CPQ was my favotite at its last split. It's looking to be my main position hold again.
